Black Lives Matter!
Marianne Mackay is our lead candidate for South Metropolitan (Legislative Council).
She is a Yoorgabilya from the Whadjuk Noongar nation, a mother of seven beautiful children and lives in Kwinana. She has been involved in many campaigns including those around deaths in custody, refugee rights and uranium mining.
Growing up during the land rights struggle of the 1980s and 1990s, Marianne has always had a passion for justice and is studying law at Murdoch University. She has insights into the issues common people face. She is a passionate and hard-working advocate, not only for her Noongar people, but for anyone who needs support.
Australia is a wealthy country. We have the resources to guarantee everybody a decent life and to take genuine climate action. We are running in this election to help build a movement for people power not corporate power. We seek your support as a step towards achieving the profound change that is needed and is possible.
Our campaign is a contribution to that process. We need your support. For more information or to help with the campaign visit https://socialist-alliance.org/
