County Prosecutor Collecting DNA Samples For Minor Offenses w/Jordan Smith
Jul 31 2021
In Orange County California a woman was cited for walking her dog without a leash. She assumed she would pay a fine and that would be the end of it. But when she got to the courthouse, they told her if she wanted it to go away she would have to provide a DNA sample. Why would such a minor infraction warrant such a gross violation of privacy? She told her colleague William Thompson, that if she didn't provide the DNA sample the charge would be increased. This interview previously aired on Peacock on July 28, 2021. Sam Seder discusses DNA surveillance with Jordan Smith.
