DHS Uses Helicopter To Intimidate Pipeline Protestors
Jun 09 2021
In this Majority Report clip, Sam Seder describes the scene at pump-station protest against Enbridge Energy’s plan to rebuild Line 3 in northern Minnesota. The line carries crude oil and tar sands oil from Alberta to Wisconsin, and as with any line of its kind, it carries the risk of environmentally disastrous spills.
The footage we watch shows a Customs and Border Protection helicopter flying extremely low in the area where the protesters are gathered, in an apparent attempt to create a whirlwind of dirt, sticks, dry wood chunks, and anything else light enough to be thrown around in the air and in the protestors’ faces. Not only could someone be injured … why is the U.S. government trying to disburse U.S. citizens who are legally gathered? AGAIN?? It's like they think this is their whole job.
